Step 6 - Process Pre Auth
A Pre-Authorization is used when you would like to keep a Credit Card Authorization pending beyond a single day. A Pre-Authorization can not be settled until you Complete it. A Pre-Authorization can also be voided. It's important to note that a Pre-Authorization against a debit card will place a 3-5 day hold for the charge amount.
Use the following steps to Pre-Authorize a Credit Card.
- Tap Credit Cards from the Home screen
- Tap Pr-Authorization (skip this step if using App version 3.0.7 or higher
- Tap Process-Pre-Auth
- Enter card holder Information
- Tap the Process Button
- Confirm the transaction
Use the following steps to Complete a Pre-Authorization
- Tap Process - PA Complete
- Highlight the Pre-Auth transaction you would like to complete and Tap PA Complete
- Before you confirm the amount you can change the final amount
Use the following steps to Void a Pre-Authorization
- Tap Process - Void from the Credit Cards screen
- Highlight the Pre-Auth transaction you would like to Void - Click Void
- Confirm Transaction
